The 2011 baseball season will be Matt's 8th season with the Akron Aeros. It will be Matt's 17th season in Professional Baseball overall. Prior to joining the Aeros, Matt spent five seasons with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians and four seasons with the Williamsport Cubs, Class A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Aside from baseball, Matt is entering his 7th season on the Grounds Crew of the Cleveland Browns. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Sports Turf Managers Association (OSTMA), and is an active member of OSTMA, the National Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA), the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation (OTF), and the Keystone Athletic Field Managers Organization (KAFMO). He became a Certified Sports Field Manager (CSFM) in April of 2010 through the National STMA. He lives in Niles, OH with his wife Jamie, daughter Haley, and son Connor..
