The Akron Aeros ninth annual "Education Days" will offer some of the most unique learning experiences in recent history. Nearly 25,000 school children from Northeast Ohio will attend this field trip in 2008, which combines an educational theme with an Aeros baseball game. Educational events will occur during pre-game ceremonies as well as throughout the game. The dates for the days are: April 16, May 1, May 8 and May 22. On each of the four"Education Days" there will be nearly 6,500 school children in attendance from Summit County and Northeast Ohio. The object of each day is to create a unique, out-of-classroom educational experience for the students. Special educational events will take place throughout the game. Plus, teachers will have the option to use a supplied integrated curriculum prior to and during the event that focuses on the theme "Baseball IS Education".
